PROF. MAKARIM WIBISONO

Prof Makarim is an expert and practitioner in international relations. A career diplomat who served as Indonesia's Ambassador to the United Nations (2004-2007), to Guatemala, Nicaragua, Jamaica and Bahama (1997-2001), President to the UN Economic and Social Council, Chair of World Peace Assembly on Inter-religious and Dialogue among Civilizations in the UN (2000), Chair of Antiterrorism for APEC (2003) and Chair of UN Human Rights Council, Prof. Makarim has a strong passion to share experience and ideas in training and research. His field of expertise is diplomacy, international political economy, and human rights. In Sept 2022, Prof Makarim is appointed as the Chair of the National Non-Judicial Team on Solving Past Violation of Human Rights in Indonesia
