MARZUKI DARUSMAN

Senior Advisor

Marzuki Darusman is a practitioner of public policy with a degree in law (and an Honorary Doctorate in law) and passion to campaign for human rights and anti-corruption. Marzuki is the former Attorney General and Cabinet Secretary, serving under President Abdurrahman Wahid (1999-2001), also Chair of the Indonesian National Human Rights Commission. Internationally, was appointed by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon to a three-member UN Commission of Inquiry to investigate the assassination of former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. In 2010, Darusman was assigned as Chair of the UN Secretary General's Panel of Experts on Sri Lanka. Marzuki Darusman was the UN Secretary General’s Special Rapporteur for North Korea 2010-2016 and also a Member of UN Commission of Inquiry on North Korea. In August 2017, he was appointed as the Chair for the UN Fact Finding Mission on Myanmar.
