In southern Gaza, basic necessities such as staple food and tents have now turned into luxuries due to shortages, price surges, and disrupted aid distribution caused by the blockade. Many families have lost hope of finding shelter. Amid this crisis, there is emerging discourse on the establishment of a transitional government in Gaza, reportedly backed by the United Nations, Gulf states, and the United States, with former British Prime Minister Tony Blair mentioned as a potential interim leader. However, this Western-backed plan diverges from proposals by Middle Eastern countries that involve the Palestinian Authority and Hamas. At the United Nations General Assembly, President Prabowo underscored that Indonesia supports the “Two-State Solution.” Meanwhile, right-wing factions in Israel remain adamant about maintaining control over Gaza and the West Bank. The United States and the United Kingdom are seen as holding the decisive leverage over Israel, whether through halting arms supplies or imposing economic sanctions, although unified backing from major European powers remains hindered by conflicting interests. To date, around 157 countries have recognized Palestine, yet recognition from the United States and several key European states remains the central obstacle to achieving lasting peace
