More than 204.8 million Indonesian voters elected the president, vice president, parliament and regional representatives on Wednesday. After the first count, the duo Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka received over 58 percent of the votes and are looking forward to being officially proclaimed as the new president and vice president respectively. Most citizens breathe a sigh of relief, but for millions of others the result is depressing.

INDONESIA AS ASEAN CHAIR 2023: THE DILEMMAS

Indonesia picks up the theme “ASEAN Matters: Epicentrum of Growth”. President Joko Widodo stated that: “ASEAN needs to be stable and peace, an epicentrum for global stability.
